MINISTRY: From the time Carmen was a teenager, she has served in a variety of ministry roles, including youth leader at Palmdale Church of the Nazarene, therapist at the counseling center Los Angeles First Church of the Nazarene, grant writer at the Bresee Foundation and the Golden Gate Community and co-founder of the National Association for Christian Recovery. She holds a local minister’s licensed from Glendora Community Church, and is working toward ordination with the Church of the Nazarene.
PERSONAL LIFE: A single, adoptive parent, Carmen lives with her amazing daughter in Glendora, California. The adoption process in Nepal took nearly two years to complete, and after extended time in Kathmandu, Carmen co-founded Hope Partnership Nepal, a non-profit organization that focuses on poverty, gender-equality and emergency response issues.
